Ways To Maintain My Flatironed Hair...

Relaxer days are the only days I take the dust off my flatiron and use it on my hair.  That happens 3-4 times per year.  I try very hard to minimize the amount of direct heat I place on my hair.

How I Dye My Relaxed Hair…

Relaxer Day Results: Length Check…

After a long exhausting day with relaxing your hair, doing a length check is one of the most rewarding part of the process. We all want to know what progress we have made after stretching our relaxer. If you haven’t seen my relaxer results go on and check it out here.  Even though I deep conditioned my hair weekly during this stretch, my ends were terribly affected from a previous stretch and since I barely trimmed last relaxer touch up, a trim was necessary this time around.

Wash Day | How I Prep My Hair For A Relaxer…

Lets get into my washday.

How I’ve Been Wearing My Hair Lately…

Once I get deep into my stretch, I like to see my edges laid because its looks neat and professional.  I always spray my moisturizing mix on my edges before apply aloe vera gel on my edges.  I opted not to brush my new growth, since the line of demarcation is so fragile but to use my hands to smoothen out my hair.  I was extremely surprised by the amount of new growth which you can see by the clear distinction between my colored hair and new growth.
