8 Best Ways To Avoid Breakouts/ Pimples…

I don’t profess to have the best or perfect skin but I’ll share with you what measures have worked for me to minimize breakouts.  I still get the occasional pimple and majority of the time I know how I got it.

Keep your hands out of your face
This is one of the major contributions to break outs. Our hands are often on our desk, touching the door, touching the phone, hand rails in public transport, you name it, all of those places are dirty even though the naked eye may not be able to see it.

Drinks lots of water
I never liked drinking water because it was too harsh to swallow but now I probably reach for water as my choice of drink other than anything else. I drink about 50 ounces of water daily except weekends. I do drink on weekends but not that much. I end up using the bathroom 6-8 times a day but there isn't a greater feeling than using the bathroom and the liquid is clear and not colored #winning

Limit the amount of greasy foods you eat
Yes I eat KFC, Pork ribs and you name it but its not a weekly treat. I’m about enjoying life while I can breathe but not being naïve about it either.  I believe in having a balance diet and life.

8 Best Ways To Avoid Breakouts
Wash off your makeup properly before going to bed
We have all done it where we fall asleep because we are too tired. Grab a baby wipe, which will remove at-least 80% of the make-up and go to bed. Make sure you follow up on cleaning your face properly when you wake up but don’t practice it that way. Wash your make-up tools often.

Change your pillow case weekly
Make sure you flip the side of the pillow you sleep on each night.  That way the grease or product wouldn't be constantly on your face with the build up over days.

Change your sleeping scarf weekly
The buildup from products left in your scarf can cause breakout. You can even alternate your scarfs nightly. But that could get confusing if they are the same color or from lack of memory of which one you wore the night before.

Watch the acidity in your foods
When our body has too much acid it tries to purge and one of the form is breakout. Just like how our hair requires our PH level to be balanced, so does our bodies and the normal PH balance should be 7, where 0 be too acid and 14 be too alkaline.

Wash your hair weekly or bi-weekly
Due to the product build up, mixed with sweat, which will create dirt, which ends up on your face and cause breakouts.

  3. Good tips. I have noticed that as I get older, I have breakouts every once in a while that I didn't have when I was younger, so this advice is helpful.

  4. Don't use make up or foundation everyday! The skin is doing best with a good face cream with as little synthetic ingredients as possible. Save the make up for parties and weekends.

It is easy to get into the circle of covering up flaws but that just creates more clogged and dirty pores.
