Relaxer Day Results…

I setup my tripod to take photos with my camera using the 10-second timing setting. After reaching over a table, to keep on pressing the button to take the photos I realized all of them were in black and white, what a bummer I said, because I had to do it all over in colour. Instead of deleting them I thought to share with you guys.

NEW VIDEO – Best Protein Treatment for Hair : Aphogee…

I have tried a few different brands and types of protein treatment but by far the best and most convenient for me is the Aphogee product line.  I use the Aphogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor weekly or bi-weekly depending on what I’m focusing on that wash day. I also use the Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment every 6-8weeks.  Check out the video below to see why I love this Product line.

Relaxer Prep Wash Day…

I didn't get to post about my wash day last week but I’ll share how I wore my hair last week. On Sunday evening I got a feeling that I didn't feel like dealing with my hair for that week. I remembered I had a synthetic instant weave, so I grabbed it out to make sure it was still in good condition. I put my hair in two inside corn rows (French braids), going backwards and leaving our about 2 inches at the front of my hair out. Now this wig is bone straight and my new growth is very unruly and you guys know how I feel about flat irons, so I just placed a head band at the top to attempt to hide the different textures. The length of this wig is my ideal length goal for my real hair.

Technique Thursday | Taking down Braids To Minimize Breakage..

Images not mine & found on Pinterest
A friend of mine installed box braids and wore it for 4 weeks and wanted to remove and relax her hair the following week. She unraveled, didn’t detangle and jumped into the shower to shampoo, while rinsing out her hair she realized her roots were matted and detangling was too difficult.  She applied her deep conditioner for 30mins and rinsed. After getting out the shower her entire head was matted and she called me panicking. It’s a good thing she knows I’m on a hair journey and take really good care of my hair if not she would have ended up with a pixie hair cut after having shoulder length hair. She said "Tomi my hair is matted and I don’t know what to do, I’m coming by you now”. I wasn't busy so I helped out my friend. Take a look at how much hair was lost during the un-matting session. Majority of it was shedded hair but there was some breakage.
