Wash Day Post Relaxer…

Since I’m a DIY girl when it comes to relaxing my hair, I’m leaning towards washing my hair 2 weeks after relaxer to fully enjoy my flat ironed hair. Can you blame me?
Air drying Relaxed Hair
[1]   Prepooed with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil on my scalp and on the length of my hair for
       20mins with heat.
[2]   Shampooed with ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo & CON Moisture & Shine
Shampoo once each to make sure my scalp was thoroughly cleaned after applying product
to my hair for 2 weeks.
[3]   Deep Conditioned with ORS Replenishing PAK for 30mins and rinsed. I don’t care for the
citrus smell but I love how my hair feels when I use this conditioner.
[4]   Wrapped my hair in a t-shirt for 1hour to absorb the excess water
[5]   Applied my leave-in conditioners of Elasta QP H20, Aussie Moist Conditioner and sealed
       with coconut oil.
Air drying Relaxed Hair
I blowed dried my roots using TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray but let the rest of my hair air dry. Since the Elasta QP leave in H20 is also a heat protectant I did one pass with my flat iron because the following weeks are going to be hectic and I wanted stressfree hair.
Flat Ironed Hair
To maintain my flat ironed hair, I  wrapped my hair and used saran wrap for a tighter hold. Unfortunately I went to bed with the saran wrap and woke up with damp hair. Yes I should know better, since my hair will sweat during the night. My hair did revert alil but it’s still very manageable. By the way flat ironing our hair can become very addictive. Always protect your hair before starting that process.

  3. Your hair looks nice and the ends are healthy. I would always go a bit longer with washing after relaxing as well. Nothing compares to a freshly relaxed head of hair. The ORS pak is awesome. It leaves my hair silky. Some believe it to be a protein but it acts as moisture for my hair.
