My hair loves protein and since it was missing pretty much from my last stretch, it was only fitting to incorporate it for my wash day. It’s no secret Aphogee has been my staple protein treatment to prepare my hair before and after relaxer days.
[1] Prepooed with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil on my scalp and on the length of my hair for
30mins with heat.
[2] Shampooed with ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo twice to remove any build up from products.
[3] Applied Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment from root to tip and sat under my hooded
dryer for 20mins until my hair was rock solid. Do not touch or manipulate your hair when
this product is in your hair to avoid breakage.

[4] Rinsed thoroughly because this protein treatment is not to be played around with. My hair
always feels so strong and soft afterwards.
[5] Deep Conditioned with Queen Helene Cholesterol for 30mins and rinsed. Wrapped my hair
in a t-shirt for 1hour to absorb the excess water
[6] Applied my leave-in conditioners of Crème Of Nature Strength & Shine, Aussie Moist
Conditioner and sealed with coconut oil.
[7] I sat under my hooded dryer to absorb my damp roots since my ends dry a lot faster
airdrying.

It's bunning season!
DeleteLook at that shine. Looing good! I did a mild protein treatment a few weeks ago after my flat iron session to help bounce back from the heat.
ReplyDeleteYup very important Andrea!
DeleteYour colour is popping in that pic, it looks great.
ReplyDeleteThanks Candice!
DeleteYour hair looks so smooth too. The bun life is so easy.
ReplyDeleteThanks Abena!
DeleteYour hair is lovely and I love that lipstick colour! I recently purchased Queen Hellen cholesterol and gave it a try. It was OK but too thick. Do you dilute it or mix it with conditioner before use? Cos I'm thinking of diluting it.
ReplyDeleteI usually add oils and honey to boost its effects.

ReplyDeleteI haven't used the two step yet lol. I only used the 2 minute reconstructor. Results looks great btw
ReplyDeleteThanks Ty!
DeleteI love how shiny your hair is and the red is poppin'. That 2 step treatment makes me nervous when it hardens up but it's soooo good for your hair.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is!
DeleteDo you sit under the dryer with your hair in a bun or with your hair loose?
ReplyDeleteI usually pin my ends up loosely so every strand gets heat and the protein is penetrated.
