Maybelline ColorSensational Vivids Lip Color Brazen Berry (905)…

I have been looking for a purple lipstick for the longest while so when I saw Moden Makeup post on Facebook that Imart was carrying the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lip Colors (gosh that’s a lot of name), I took the opportunity to go get the Brazen Berry which cost $19.00BDS

The packaging is very bright electric orange case but it’s not that appealing to me. To my surprise the lipstick was open and not forced opened by someone else but just open. I was alittle skeptical to buy it at first due to my obsession with cleanliness but I caved because the store only brought in 2 of each color and both of the Brazen Berry were both there.

The texture was smooth and applied well but you need to swatch more than normal to get full
coverage but your lips still peep through abit. The finish is very glossy and it does stain the lips but you may still need to re-apply after eating. It smells really sweet, almost makes you want to eat your lips.

The color on my lips took me by total surprise as I was expecting a deep purple but instead it’s lavender in color, which was disappointing. Looks like I’m still on the hunt for a purple lipstick.

Have you tried the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids Lip Colors & What's your favorite shade

  1. I just hate when that happens! I have picked up lipsticks quite a few times and have been disappointed with them by the time I got home. Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids has a color called Hot Plum that I really love, but it looks more like a fuchsia than a plum. I'm not sure if you would be interested in that one or not. And Revlon has these new matte balms--- one in particular being the shade Shameless. It's a very pretty deep purple. Maybe those will bring you better luck :-)

    Love and blessings,

  2. I love Brazen Berry! You're right, it's not a true purple but I think it's still gorgeous. It looks great on you! My only issue with it is how it dries my lips out. Nothing a little EOS can't fix! Even though it's a summer color, I'll be sportin' that bad boy through the winter too!

    1. Mac has a deep purple lip liner which I use as a lipstick, it's called magneta you could give that a try, but the lavender is a great colour though, but obviously not what you were after
