Simple Wash Day…

I have been keeping my wash days pretty simple recently, let’s dive into it:

[1]   Scalp massage with Extra Virgin Olive Oil with (warmed) for 3mins. Applied EVOO to the
rest my hair for 30mins with heat. Although EVOO is heavy for my strands, my hair was
dry and I felt my hair needed a thicker oil to quench my strands. When I took my heat cap
off I couldn't find majority of the oil as it had sunk into my strands.
Aunt Jackie's Moisturizing & Softening Conditioner
[2]   I let my hair cool for 5mins and applied the Aunt Jackie’s Moisturizing & Softening
Conditioner for 30mins with heat on top of the oil.  While rinsing out the conditioner my

hair felt like silk and so hydrated. My first impression of this conditioner is that it does
what it says, it moisturizes your thirty hair. The smell is floral and can become annoying
after a while. The smell lingers for a little while after rinsing out the product.
[3]   Applied Aphogee 2 mins reconstructor for 2mins and rinsed.
[4]   Wrapped my hair in a T-shirt for 45mins to dry. Once my hair was 80% dry I sprayed all
of my roots with Mane n Tail detangler. Then applied my leave in conditioner of Aussie
Moist Conditioner, Herbal Essences Split End Protector and sealed with Hot Six oil. I
detangled my hair with ease and only because of the Mane n Tail detangler.

I’m 9 weeks post and really enjoying this stretch.  9weeks down and 9 more weeks to go.
9 weeks Post Relaxer
[5]   The following day I oiled my scalp with Jamaican Black Castor Oil . Moisturized my hair
with Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter and sealed with Hot Six Oil.

I’m on vacation this week so my hair is going to be in two French braids. Head over to Saving Our Strands to join in the link up to share your wash day experience.
