My Best Results Of Heatfree Curls For Relaxed Hair…

Happy New Year to you and your family.  Thank you for your support in 2015 and I’m looking forward to hanging and providing you with great content this year.  I wish you blessings in abundance for great health, happiness, success and love. Cheers to an amazing 2016.

You may have seen some of these pictures on my Instagram recently and I wanted to share in details how I achieve these frizz free heatless curls by using flexi-rods.

[1]   At this stage of my relaxer stretch I usually need some assistance with detangling my roots
and I always grab my holy grail of Mane n Tail Detangler to help tackle my stubborn new
        growth.
[2]   Deep Conditioned on dry hair with my Queen Helene Cholesterol for 40mins under my hooded dryer.
[3]   Rinsed and Applied Aphogee 2 mins reconstructor for 2mins and rinsed.
[4]   Wrapped my hair in a T-shirt for 10mins to absorb the excess water.
[5]   Applied my leave in’s of Aussie Moist Conditioner, Crème of Nature Strength & Shine
conditioner and sealed with coconut oil.

Since I've now moved to Canada I left all of my hair goodies with my mom, so I purchased 2 packs of blue flexi-rods. For the first time I applied a hair mousse which was the Crème of Nature Style & Shine Foaming Mousse and used 12 flexi-rods.  I separated the curls with few drops of coconut oil in my palms and was totally blown away with the results.  I enjoyed frizz free curls for 6 straight day which never happens and the only thing I did different was the foam mousse.  Is it safe to say that product is here to stay.

Due to the spiral motion in which  my hair was wrapped up, it stretched my new growth as well as dry a lot faster than the usual way I roll the flexi-rods.

I headed out a couple hours later and loved my frizz free curls for the very first time. To my surprise it lasted a lot longer than I expected.

  1. Your flexi rod sets always come out so nice. What are your thoughts about the Crème of Nature mousse? Did it cause flaking?

    1. Thank you, I really do like the mousse. I have used it twice now and still like it very much. No flakes at all.

  2. Lovely curls. Would definitely try this once Harmattan is over here. For now I'm wigging it.

  10. Your hair and those curls are looking amazing! And wow, 6 days! I need to try using my flexirods to get those type of curls next time (and I'll be sure to use a foaming mousse too). Great wash day post, Tomes!

  12. Thanks for your update. I see you deep conditioned on dry hair. I tried that for the first time yesterday, followed by a cleansing co-wash. So far so good!
