Relaxer Prep Wash Day…

I didn't get to post about my wash day last week but I’ll share how I wore my hair last week. On Sunday evening I got a feeling that I didn't feel like dealing with my hair for that week. I remembered I had a synthetic instant weave, so I grabbed it out to make sure it was still in good condition. I put my hair in two inside corn rows (French braids), going backwards and leaving our about 2 inches at the front of my hair out. Now this wig is bone straight and my new growth is very unruly and you guys know how I feel about flat irons, so I just placed a head band at the top to attempt to hide the different textures. The length of this wig is my ideal length goal for my real hair.
I'm wearing an instant weave

This weeks wash day was all about strengthening my hair for relaxer day for this weekend

[1]   Prepoo with Extra Virgin Olive oil for 30mins under my heat cap
[2]   Shampooed with ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo
[3]   With my hair in 4 sections apply Aphogee 2 step protein treatment under my hooded dryer
for 20 mins . My hair was rock solid.
[4]   Rinsed and applied Motion Lavish Conditioning Shampoo. I love how strong my hair feels
       after doing this protein treatment.
[5]   Apply Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer for 2 mins and rinsed
[6]   Applied Queen Helene Cholesterol mixture and sat under my heat cap for 1 hour
[7]   Rinsed and wrap my hair in a t-shirt for 1hour. My hair felt so soft and moisturized.
[8]   Applied my leave in’s of Aussie Moist Conditioner, Herbal Essences Split End Protector
and sealed with a mixture of Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
[9]   Detangled and Air-dry
[10] The following day apply Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my scalp and moisturize with
Elasta QP Olive oil & Mango Butter and seal with EVOO & EVCO.

New Growth @ 16 weeks Post Relaxer
I chose to rock a loose bun so that I don’t have to comb or brush my hair all week.

  2. I haven't used the Aphogee 2 step treatment I Such a long time. I'm feeling like I may introduce it back into my regimen at some point. Nice post!

  3. That weave looks good on you! Great idea to just use a head band to blend your textures. I need to do that when I wear my hair in buns because my edges are unruly honey!

Congrats on making it to 16 weeks post! Is this your longest stretch?

  4. Instant weaves are awesome aren't they? It looks fab on you, love! I was supposed to do the 2 step during my last wash to get ready for relaxer day but I got lazy. My hair is still in a bun lol.

  7. Your wig looks great, I miss wearing half wigs, since my hair has soooo much texture now it looks very obvious, I will have to give the head band a try.

  12. That instant weave is it. That's my ideal length goal too. When I get there someday I will do a happy dance with cartwheels and everything :). I am only 3 inches away but it's taking forever and a day I tell you.
