Wash Day Post Relaxer…

For some reason I didn't feel like wearing my hair straight after my relaxer, so I added some flexi rods to my ends and slept in them overnight. I slept in flexi-rods for 3 days of that week.  I wore it as the curls fell and then I pulled back the sides for a Mohawk type of look.
Flexi-Rods after my Relaxer Touch Up

[1]   Scalp massage with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil with a couple drops of peppermint oil
       (warmed) for 3mins.
[2]   Prepooed with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil all over my hair for 35mins under my heat cap.
[3]   Shampooed with ORS Creamy Aloe, followed up with Motion Lavish conditioning
Shampoo once each. I have had this shampoo forever and really need to use it up,
       also its very moisturizing.
[4]   Applied Aphogee 2 mins reconstructor for 2mins and rinsed. I love how my hair feels
       after using this product.
[5]   Deep Conditioned with my Queen Helene mixture for 30mins with heat.
[6]   Rinsed and wrapped my hair in a T-shirt for 1 hour. Applied my leave in conditioner’s of
Aussie Moist Conditioner, Herbal Essences Split End Protector. Full wrapped my hair
and sat under my hooded dryer for 30mins to get rid of the excess water. Airdry in a wrap
for the rest of the day.

The following day, I applied Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my scalp. Moisturized with Elasta QP Olive Oil & mango Butter and sealed with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Even though this oil is thick my hair seem to love it and it doesn’t weigh my hair down.
Bunning
I pulled my hair into a bun and that would be my hair style for this work week. I really love creating buns without filler.

Haven’t shared your wash day experience with us yet, head over and check it out.

  8. Wow, your curls came out beautiful with this set of flexi rod. I usually hate my hair right after a relaxer, seems so flat and everything. I need a little something too.

  10. OOOOOHHHHH FLEXIS....YIPPEEE! You & I need to team up and do a flexi post of some kind. I love how you rolled yours. They are so neatly done. Can you email me and explain your rolling technique whenever you have a moment. Or, point me to a post if you already explained this elsewhere.

  11. Love the curls and the bun! I, too, was extra excited when I realized I could create a nice, full bun with no filler. So fun!
