Our 1st Wedding Anniversary…

My husband and I celebrated out first wedding anniversary on December 20, 2015 *cue band to play our favorite song*. Due to the holiday activities and spending time with family I can finally show you guys how we spent our night.

We are both big on celebrating milestones because we don’t know how much longer we will be on this earth and also everyday is such a blessing that birthdays and anniversaries should be celebrated in a huge way.  Kevin told me recently about a guy who postponed his retirement  just to make extra money for a couple of months more. The plans he made with his family would have been postponed due to his decision. Guess what, the month he was planning to retire, he died before the end of that month. All the hard work of 30+ years of working to death and  he never got a chance to enjoy his retirement with his family. I said all of that to say stop procrastinating and just live. Also stop spending so much time building a life that you never get to enjoy it.

We spent our first dating anniversary in Vegas and it was amazing especially because it was our first trip. Maybe I can show you a sneak peak of what we got up to back then in another post.  Being new to this city, we wanted to enjoy a nice dinner somewhere classy, yet close to our home.  We choose to go to the Sky 360 Degrees Restaurant& Lounge in Calgary Tower.

We rode up the elevator to a breathtaking view, as we were 626 ft in the air and the restaurant revolves at a moderate speed while dining. It actually took an hour to rotate to the spot we started. The food was amazing and we are such food lovers that we try different meals wherever we go.

I had the lamb with diced potatoes which was made to perfection and Kevin had steak with mashed potatoes.  If you are in my city be sure to check them out because we had an amazing time.  Our waiter and the service were very impressive.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Marriage isn’t a walk in the park and I know most of you can testify to that however its such a blessing to fall in love with someone who takes your breath away and someone you can’t live without.  Our first year has blown my mind and I’m looking forward to many more wonderful years ahead. Cheers to life and love!

To see how i achieved these curls check it out here and my love for this lipstick can be found here.

What do you normally order for dinner?

  9. Hi Tomi!
They say the first year is the hardest, and it was for me. But after being married for over 10 years, I can tell you that it gets better after the 5th year. LOL! I am sure the food was delicious. And both of you look so good together. Happy anniversary, my dear friends!
