What's In My Spray Bottle...

I find once my hair passes 10 weeks post relaxer that my new growth is very dry, so I have come up with a concoction mix that I have been testing out for some time now, and I’ll like to share it with you guys.

My Spray Bottle Comprises of:

[1]      Water (Best form of moisture)
[2]      Suave Tropical Coconut Conditioner (Or any cheapie Conditioner - Adds moisture)
[3]      Herbal Essences Split End Protector (Adds moisture)
[4]      Hot Six Oil (Adds shine and seals the moisture)
[5]      Mane 'n Tail Detangler (Helps my new growth because you know those knots could
          be very rude lol)

::Please note:: I don’t have a particular measured amount placed into the bottle but I do feel the consistency to see if I need more water or conditioner or oil and after one use I can tell if the combo is working or not.  Majority of what is in the bottle is water, and I’m loving how smooth and moisturized my hair feels when I use it.

How I Use It:

Once I know I am going to hide my hair for 5 days or more I always moisturize and seal heavily. So, when I wear protective styles such as Buns, French braids/Inside Cornrow, Dutch Braid/Outside Cornrow, I spray the Braid or Bun daily as well as the rest of my hair. When I take down my protective style 4-5 days later, all over my hair is very moisturized from root to my ends.

This is definitely going to be used after I t-shirt dry on my wash days for my new growth to keep it moisturized.

Do you have a DIY moisturizer that works, please or what's in your spray bottle?

  1. My moisturizing spritz is distilled water, EVCO a bit of my Camille Rose Hair Milk, and a few drops of rosemary oil. Keeps my hair and NG nice and soft. I love the sound of your mix!

    1. My moisturising mix is water, aloe vera juice, a bit of cheapie conditioner like V05, hot six oil and a few drops of peppermint oil.
