I Changed My Hair Color To Truly Red…

If you haven’t seen my relaxer update, go ahead and check it out hereI've reached a new milestone in my life and decided to switch things up abit with my hair. Additionally I was tired of the brown shades of my hair. I thought about red and copper sunset hair colors but ended up choosing red. Also I thought about how wearing different clothing colors with colored hair would look like and figured red would most likely go with most colors. I didn't expect it to be super bright since I had no intentions of bleaching my hair.  I actually don’t like maroon color on me either but it seems to look that way sometimes.
Kiss Express Hair Color in Truly Red

I applied the Kiss Express Color Semi-Permanent dye with gloves from my scalp to the ends. Covered my hair with a plastic cap and sat under my heat cap for 25mins as stated on the instructions.  Rinsed with warm water and applied Aussie Moist conditioner to add some softness as well as to remove the excess dye from my hair. I don’t like scratching my scalp and the dye ends up underneath my finger nails.

Based on their website Kiss Express Color is [1] Relaxer safe [2] Generally last 6-12 Shampoos [3] Excellent Gray Covers [4] Heat-Resistant Protein [5]  pH Balanced [6] Contains a variety of Natural Fruit and Herb Extract.
Truly Red Hair Color in my hair
Its hard tell in my air-dried hair but once my hair was dry the color showed itself more.
My stained scalp
Here’s a closer look at how the dye stained my scalp and skin as i'm no pro. I couldn't see the back of my head so it was difficult not to stain around my edges. By my next wash day the shampoo should remove the dye from my scalp and skin.  I can still see the dark brown in some areas of my hair but majority seems to have a hint of red on it.
Closer view of truly red in my hair
I definitely feeling this shade and will dye my hair on a more regular basis. I’m thinking every 8weeks to keep the color alive. Since I wash my hair weekly I’m interested to see how long the majority of the dye will take to disappear from my hair.

What shade would you dye your hair?

Be inspired…

  1. Training can be infinitely easier with someone who is already familiar with
the sales process. Inform people as to what product
or service that your business provides. The company is located
in Nottinghamshire and has international and UK based call centres.

  4. I love this color, Tomi. I've been thinking of switching up my hair color, as I'm so bored with my hair these days.I just might try red, too. Is this your first time ever using hair color? What did you think of this particular brand of dye?
