I haven’t posted about my
hair in a while because I haven’t been doing anything special to my hair for the
last couple of weeks. My weekly regimen
has remained the same but styling has been as simple as possible. Take a look
at how my hair has been lately.
My hair styles for the last couple of weeks |
before I start my wash
day. Once this is done properly post
detangling isn’t tedious.
[2] Scalp massage with Extra
Virgin Coconut oil for 25mins. My scalp has been sore for a
couple of days and
the massage felt great. I followed up with saturating my hair,
from root to
ends with Extra Virgin Coconut oil. I sat under my heat cap for 25mins.
[3] Rinsed and Shampooed with
Crème of Nature Moisture & Shine Shampoo
[4] Deep Conditioned with my
Queen Helene Cholesterol mixture on dry hair for 40mins
under my heat cap and
rinsed.
[5] Wrapped my hair in a T-shirt
for 1 hour.
[6] Applied my leave in conditioners
of Herbal Essences Split End Protector (my ends only),
Aussie Moist Conditioner
and sealed with Extra Virgin Coconut oil.
Post detangling was
not time consuming at all.
Right now my new growth is
popping everywhere but its alil deceiving since the top of my hair was severely
under-processed from my last relaxer. I
can still see some hints of the red dye in my hair which is very surprising and
I’ll definitely try this brand of dye gain. I do plan to dye my hair the same
color when I relax my hair in two weeks.
Single strand knots have been trying to take over my life and I’m
seriously over this stretch. I’ll be
preparing my hair this weekend for my relaxer day.
Air-drying in mini twists |
I twisted my hair in
sections to air-dry, in an attempt to stretch my new growth. It worked in some
areas and others it didn’t. I think I needed to do smaller sections. The
following day I oiled my scalp with Jamaican Black Castor Oil. Moisturized with
Elasta QP Olive Oil & Mango Butter and sealed with Extra Virgin Coconut
Oil.
My hair ended up in a bun,
which is how my hair is going to be this week.
My wash day was successful but styling has been a drag.

Can't wait to see your relaxer results. Sorry to hear styling right now is not going to smoothly. :(
