How’s everyone doing? I
know I have been MIA for abit and I’m going to make up for it. I have been catching up on your blog posts
and finally now putting my thoughts on paper.
My scalp has been screaming at me for more than a week now. I haven’t
washed my hair in two weeks which it’s not accustomed too. This wash day I decided to pamper my hair and
hope my shedding reduces
My hair with Aphogee 2 Step Protein Treatment. PS - the white marks on my neck are from the product |
[2] Prepooed (pre-shampoo
treatment) with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil all over my hair for
40mins under my
heat cap.
[3] Shampooed with ORS Creamy
Aloe twice as my hair was heavy coated with products for
the last two weeks.
[4] Applied Aphogee Two step
Protein Treatment and left it on till my hair was rock solid
which was about
20mins.
[5] Rinsed and applied a dime
amount of Cream of Nature Moisture & Shine Shampoo. Rinsed
and applied Aussie
moist conditioner to sit on my hair for 2mins and rinsed.
[6] Deep Conditioned with my
Queen Helene mixture for 1 hour with heat.
[7] Rinsed and wrapped my hair
in a T-shirt for 15mins.
[8] I tried a new leave in
conditioner’s of Elasta QP Leave in H2 and Aphoghee Pro-Vitamin
Conditioner. I
just left my hair open to airdry for the rest of the day
Clipped up hair |
The following day I applied Jamaican Black Castor Oil on my scalp. Moisturized with Elasta QP Olive Oil
& mango Butter and sealed with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
I clipped up my hair, but
will be rocking a bun for this work week.

day?

We totally forgive you for being MIA with you being a newlywed and all. LOL! We missed you!
ReplyDeleteI still have the biggest fear of the apHogee two step. I do plan on henna-ing my hair in the near future which may have an effect similar to a hard protein treatment. Did the Creme of Nature help soften your hair after rinsing out the protein conditioner?
Thanks Andrea! That's the reason i decided to use that before the Aussie moist and it certainly did a great job. I need to give henna a try. Looking forward to reading your experience.
DeleteWelcome back:-)
ReplyDeleteThank you Abena!
DeleteGlad you were able to finally pamper your hair, it looks quite sleek. Back to blogging dear, so do please check me out.

Thank you, heading over to your blog now. Glad to have you back.
DeleteDoes 2 step halt your shedding? I always thought it was for breakage only. Your hair looks awesome and healthy so whatever the case, you def know what you're doing.
ReplyDeleteMy shedding hasn't stopped yet but it sure has decreased. Aphogee is great for stopping breakage but protein also helps with shedding as well. I was due a protein treatment, so i killed two birds with one stone. I'm going to do a tea rinse during my next wash day
DeleteElasta QP is the second product on my to-buy list this year. I just have to make sure I read the ingredients because the protein sensitivity is killing my vibes. I have been washing my hair less too. The weather is too bad here. I love your hair, and I hope the Aphogee treatment helps with the shedding.
ReplyDeleteSeems like we are all skipping weekly washes.Looking forward to your thoughts on the Elasta Qp leave in.
DeleteYou're not the only one washing her hair less so far in 2015! My scalp totally rebelled after 2+ weeks between washing. I used to love how light and bouncy Aphogee Pro-Vitamin Leave In would make my hair!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your #washdayexperience chica!

DeleteBeautiful. Welcome back x
ReplyDeleteThanks Lesley!
DeleteHey Tomi! I know what you mean about your hair screaming for a protein treatment. Mine was doing the same thing! Love how beautiful and thick your hair looks, girl. How did you like the Elasta QP Leave In?
ReplyDeleteI think it's too early to tell how my hair like it so far, but i'll keep you updated.
DeleteGlad to have you back!!! Your hair looks nice, shiny & sleek! I keep forgetting to pick up the Queen Helene conditioner.
ReplyDeleteI love Queen Helene but with my additions.
DeleteYou had a good excuse to be Mia, lol! Congrats again. Your hair looks lovely, I hope the shedding stops in its tracks pronto! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel, me too!
DeleteWelcome back Tomes! Your hair looks sleek and shiny
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra!
DeleteWhere did you get the aussie moist?
ReplyDeleteThe shampoo can be found in Barbados but I haven't found the conditioner here. I got mine from overseas
DeleteYour hair looks amazing. I like the texture too. I nominated you for an award. The details are on my blog. Please feel free to check it out in your spare time. Greeting to your Hubby *winks*
