Even though the best month of the year has passed (biased much) I’m still going to reminisce on some of the highlights of my day. I love celebrating any milestones in life because nothing is promised. Life is so precious and not to be taken for granted.  September 16^th was the last day of summer in my books as it was 24 degrees.  Matter of fact we have only been seeing single digits this week. [Edit: It snowed this weekend in my city]

September| Saturday Fun Day…

I’m such an adventurous person that anything to do with fun jumps out at me. Two weekends ago my husband & I went to the biggest mall in Canada and there was an amusement park, water-park and loads of things to do.  When I laid my eyes on the roller coasters, I knew I had to go on one before the end of the day. Kevin doesn't like roller coasters but its not fun doing those things alone so he tagged along with me.

Tomes Edition Turns Two Yrs...

I published my first post on February 3, 2013 and I can’t believe how fast the 2nd year has flown.  Waving a big hello to all of my new readers, I hope the information i'm providing to you has been beneficial to you some way. To all my loyal readers, I can't express how grateful I am for the support you have given me throughout the years. Big hugs to all of you.

Blogging isn't an easy task because it takes a lot of commitment, research and dedication, sometimes I find myself overwhelmed but you guys keep me focused and I’m glad I started my blog and proud to be called a blogger.

In my second year of blogging i became more personal and introduce some aspects of my life with you. Based on the responses, my readers seem to like that aspect of my blog now. Ultimately I want to be much more flexible by providing you with my healthy hair tips, my fashion sense, my makeup application (I've been slacking on these two) and my personal life. I absolutely love reading life and relationship blogs. I have a weakness for a beautiful love story.

My Birthday Celebrations…

I have entered into a new decade of my life and I’m entirely grateful to God for allowing me to reach this milestone and be able to celebrate it with good health, awesome family, wonderful friends and my Fiancé. Last year Kevin left Barbados to study for a year in England and I told him not to do anything since he was travelling the following day. I’m not an overly fussy person but I do appreciate the little things in life. So for the BIG 30, I also told Kevin not to overdo as our wedding is around the corner and we should be focused on that.  If there is one thing I can say about Kevin, is that he listens and very carefully too. This is a quality that I truly admire from him.  All I asked for was a cake, I really did need anything else but a cake.

Tomes Edition Celebrates Its 1st Birthday…

I published my first post on February 3, 2013 and I can’t believe how fast the year has flown.  When I started this blog I wasn't sure how the public would react to it because blogging isn't big in Barbados but I’m happy to report that one year later I've gained awesome readers and followers who continue to encourage me with your kind words and support.

I remember receiving an email about my first comment and I was so excited but it did take a 

Girls Night Out: The Birthday Celebration…

Today is one of my closest girlfriends birthday and to celebrate I took her out to dinner at Tapas Restaurant for a relaxing, girl catch up kind of night. Dionne is no stranger to this blog as she was featured here before. We don’t talk everyday but when we do talk it’s like we never missed a day before. She’s like a sister from another mother, love her to bits.

We arrived on time and were seated within 5mins. The restaurant wasn't full but the ambiance was nice and by the time we were ready to leave it had filled up.  I don’t like eating heavy foods after 9.00pm so I skipped starters and went straight for a main course. We both ordered the Pork Tenderloin which came with mashed potatoes, with bits of bacon in it. As usual my drink was a mudslide but Dionne ordered Passionate Paradise.  The mudslide I had at TGIF is still the best I've tasted and unfortunately they are now closed down.

The pork was very well seasoned and tasted delicious, thumbs up to the chef. We were so stuff that we didn't bother with desert but the restaurant were so nice to bring over a bowl of ice-cream with a strawberry in it and a sparkling candle to end the night on a fantastic note. Dionne was surprised as seen on her face below. Here are a few pics from that night and I did her make-up:
