The Beautiful Lake Louise…

A couple weeks ago my family & I went on a road trip and one of our stop was at the beautiful Lake Louise.  The day was cloudy, rainy and pretty chilly that it required coats and enclosing shoes to keep warm.  It was my first time seeing the lake which was filled with hundreds of tourist and locals taking in the beautiful atmosphere.

I've been living in Barbados for more than half of my life and now I reside in Canada.  Even though according to my hubby Barbados will always be home and it meant leaving our family and friends, Canada proved to have more opportunities to fit our lifestyle.  Just to give you some background information, I’m Canadian and my husband is Barbadian and we both went to school together but never spoke a word to each other. We dated for 5 years and we are currently 1 year happily married but have known of each other for 7years prior to dating.

Travel | My Experience on LIAT Airlines…

I saw Liat Airlines offering a special to various Caribbean destinations and I asked my husband if we should jump on that opportunity to see a Caribbean island for our honeymoon and we did. We have been so blessed to travel to America, Canada and Europe together, so a trip to the Caribbean was due. I will not lie if I didn't say, I was nervous about flying on such a small aircraft, the horror stories of not making it to your destination on time, lost of baggage and you name it. There is an acronym for Liat which is, Leave Island Any Time. I have heard so many bad stories that I was prepared to have an extra day as a buffer just in-case no flights were available for the day we wanted to return. Let’s just say that wasn't a necessity.

Vacation 2014: New York Edition…

Words can’t explain how much I was looking for to this vacation and if you read my BLOGGER meet and greet I explained why. After working for 6 straight months, a much deserved break was needed and I welcomed it with wide open arms.  I normally travel on American Airlines but after my co-workers were raving about Jet Blue service from Barbados to New York, I decided to give them a try.  I don’t see the fuss about Jet Blue except there is a TV at the back of every seat, which is convenient for watching TV to keep you occupied. Actually the particular flight I was on was newish and didn't come with that feature, but they were kind enough to offer $15.00 off my next trip. The air-hostesses weren't friendly and the flight was nothing to shout about, just another regular flight.

Vacation 2014: Blogger’s Meet & Greet…

So this happened, I got to meet some of my E-friends! Let me first say a big THANK YOU to the lovely Lesley of Fresh Lengths & Yvonne of Diary of Another Relaxed Chic for coming out and hanging with me.  The month of May was an extremely stressful month that I even lost weight. It was so noticeable that my human resource manager asked me if I lost weight because my clothes seem not to be fitting as they usually did. I couldn’t wait for May to be over and June to begin which I was hoping would bring more sunshine into my life. I was solely looking forward to some relaxation and quality time with my fiancé for this vacay.  Kevin is no stranger to this blog and he said to me one day “ Do you want to meet up with your bloggers from the UK while you’re visiting” and my eyes lit up and was like YEAH.  He’s truly a breathe of fresh air. I thought to myself which of my bloggers were in the UK that I could possibly meet up with and the two persons that I interact with on a regular basis in the blogger world is Lesley & Yvonne.

I immediate sent them an email and they agreed. Lesley schedule was alil bit hectic but we manage to still squeeze in time to meet up. Yvonne schedule was pretty flexible so it was easy to get everyone together at the same time.

I hardly wear makeup and if you are a regular reader, you would mainly see me all natural. However, when the opportunity arises for my outings or YouTube video’s I go all out. I love to play around with colors and do various things when I’m on vacation. For me these are the key essentials I need to rock cool or extravagant makeup looks.

My Vacation to New York, Toronto and Calgary...

I went on holiday for 2 weeks as you may have known and I enjoyed every minute of it.  Travelling to Calgary from Barbados is usually very expensive so an opportunity came up and I decided to grab it fast   I haven’t seen my good friend Nikita in like forever so the opportunity to hang with her, I took it in a heartbeat. I've never been to New York before so I needed someone to show me around - Nikita was an awesome guide; we got to see so many places in the short space of time of 1 1/2 days. From NYC we went onto spend 1 day in Toronto with Kevin’s cousin and the other days were spent in Calgary with my family.
